btw you forgot to mention that Ryan Clark does the clean singing part on the title track.

You are bad at trolling.

Brent Duckett didn't do the studio drumming, Brandon Lopez did.
Aside from that, good review. BTA delivers yet again for having catchy, enjoyable music that is genuinely heavy.
I can't wait to see them play the new stuff live, I have no doubt it'll be amazing.

Dang are you sure? I could have sworn Duck was on board for the recording...the style is almost identical...This Message Edited On 11.26.08

That and the awesome big piano section are part of why I still have that song in my iTunes.

Duck left the band for awhile but is back full time now.
Lopez toured with them for a few tours and recorded. Watch their youtube studio vids, they're pretty good. This Message Edited On 11.26.08

I finally decided to read the whole review and I must say, it's about as good and "beastly" as your description(s) of the album. POS!!!
Jason Wisdom's improved roars are even more beastly than previously
This was the only problem I found. It works just fine the way it is, but I think "before" is a better way to end that sentence.

Yeah that did sound a bit awkward in retrospect

Damn this album is pretty sweet so far a couple songs in

Excellent review Brent. Reading reviews outside of my preferred genres can often be a chore, but this held my interest throughout... For whatever reason. Pos.

Great review. I agreed with all of it. Brent, have you read the C.S. Lewis's space trilogy? It's much much better than Narnia and a lot of the songs on this (Artificial Immortality, Ransom, Deep Heaven) are based on it. Ransom is the name of the main character.
This is kinda random but does the "He is clothed in greatness" part in End of the Age remind anyone else of Blind Guardian?

Well I thought the lyrics were about something religious as they're a Christian metal band an all...

The lyrics ARE religious. As are the C.S. Lewis books that the songs I mentioned are based on.This Message Edited On 11.26.08

Yeah I knew about all the references to C.S. Lewis but I haven't read those particular books yet...the album cover is also a depiction of the main character unless I'm mistaken

December of 2005was quite an interesting month for me.
I think you can see what is wrong there.
