I agree with Voivod, this band is quite underrated given how much they improved from A Sense of Change onward. That said, Sophisticated is one of the most underrated prog metal releases of the '90s, hands down. Especially given how many generally inferior bands take pages out of its book.

All of a sudden, I felt the need to listen to this after so many years, and it hasn't aged one bit.

Also, two pages of comments for a progressive rock classic, is almost a shame, Sieges Even are as good as any of their US critically acclaimed counterparts.

They were a great German prog band for sure Voivod. Thank goodness their legacy continues on with Subsignal.

I always end up coming back to this one and I'm with you, Voivod, it never gets old.

A really good album with a stellar production. At times though, it drags a bit. It is just one too many slow songs. But The Lonely view of condors alone warrants a buy.

And the rest too while we’re at it, save that crying baby sample shit
