Goff has had two great years in a row and Detroit has retained practically all of their talent, I think he's proven he's worth it. It does imply that they trust him to stay this good when Ben Johnson inevitably leaves, but it's a worthwhile gamble given the past few seasons.
As is the case with most things, if they snag a SB win, the money won't mean a thing, and they were pretty damn close against the Niners.

I've personally never been a fan of Goff, but i can't blame Detroit for paying him. I don't think he is the type to elevate a subpar offense, but he clearly has shown wasn't just a product of Sean Mcvay and if you put the right pieces around him you can compete for a superbowl,

I trust Brian Thomas to become the hands Trevor needs because Calvin Ridley was massively overrated based on last year. Anyone who actually watched Jags games will tell you he could have been a top 5 receiver and in the playoffs had he not dropped the ball or make bad redzone plays
They gotta go after Lattimore though to shore up the secondary. They need to capitalize on the first month and avoid going 0-4/1-3 because the Texans are gunna be fierce, and who knows what Anthony Richardson going to be but he could be scary.
