AMSP is fucking fantastic, just not for every mood. This, on the other hand, was average on a first couple of listens, and then revisiting this made me want to stop halfway. We need RH back, this ain't it bois

New one is a snoozer unfortunately. A lot of these Smile songs are just amorphous blobs that lack shape and direction. I dunno if bringing the rest of Radiohead back will help though, I suspect a part of it is just Thom becoming a full on boomer who wants to make wine-swilling yacht rock. That sounds like a harsh criticism but Thom and Jonny are such a legendary songwriting duo that I expect more.

Damn, I absolutely loved the new one. I wasn’t overly excited when I saw the album announcement, but after this I’ve got high hopes. Also, the video is fantastic

t/t from the new album is very underwhelming, sounds like a leftover from a randomly picked post-Bends RH record; it is bonfire music supplemented with strings for added spookiness
I hope they just meant it as a strange intro to WoF, Bending Hectic was much more promising
agree on the love for AMSP, I'd even say it's (almost) on par with In Rainbows

Got tickets in the presale, very excited and loving the new song. I definitely think Wall of Eyes (the song) is going to be a tone setter for the album, and it's a great song in its own right too.
First Radiohead-related album since The Eraser to have a title track too.

I prefer this to AMSP rather easily, as a whole at least

Don't like the new one as much as this but it's very solid. More expands on the weirdness here and they don't really attempt doing ballads except the closer. Kinda formless but good.

The two singles I have heard so far off of the new one are striking me a hell of a lot more than anything off of this did.

The singles are the best on there probably, but needs more listens.
