Wage War channeling their inner Chad Kroeger-buttrock aesthetic is as surprising as it is amusing. Their new stuff will somehow be more forgettable than new TGI.

Eh I actually quite enjoy the new record even if it's mostly disposable Octane-core with some small flourishes of old TGI. Closer is actually one of my favorite cuts from these guys in a while, but yeah 70% of their new stuff just very cookie cutter chugging that somehow outshines the new garbo singles from Wage War.

it’s impressive how many insipid and uninspired tropes they were able to squeeze into one album. some of my personal favorites include “strike a match and burn it down”, “wash it away in the pouring rain”, “I’m dying for you”, and the classic “this is my story”

LMAO I ain't gonna argue with that

Bookends on the new one are actually pretty good, plus that melodic bit in Death Grip. Everything else is a fat bleh
