New single is pretty good. They're putting the new guy from Black Crown Initiate to good use with those clean vocals (btw highly recommend checking that band out if you like Rivers).



Both singles are honestly light years better than the singles from the last album, Clean and Focus were SO BAD.

MORE? for me is the only legitimately "great" song off this album. The other 2 you mentioned are pretty good but I find everything else ranges from mid to downright bad.



Both new singles have been better than most of the previous album so I'm hopeful for a better album this time around.

I've cooled on this a good bit after listening to Owls and Monarchy and liking both far more. I still like this but there are several dud songs and the lyrics of MORE? are so cringe that it kinda ruins the song for me now. Nothing makes me roll my eyes more than when bands have contempt for their fans and complains about them in songs. Whitechapel did it and it was cringe then too.



The leads are fucking money on this. The vibe parts are generally way better than the death metal parts imo.



They're still one of my favorite bands though and as usual, I got into them 2-3 years too late. Now that their OG singer is out I have way less faith in them.

I totally understand the lack of cohesion complaints about this - ironically not a lot of work at all was put into editing & track listing. However, there are still plenty of gems on here and definitely more hits than misses, particularly The Void... which is a top tier tune.



Tracks like Wait, Tower 2 and Maybe One Day needed far more integration.
