just thinking about how weird is the rhythm/feel in fight fire with fire. the riff and vocal pattern and drums make it sound like the snare comes on 1, like he's the dominant one, but it actually starts with the kick on 1. I remember when I was learning to play it, that shit was causing me so much trouble, especially when it transitions into the prechorus. not sure if it's genius or totally unnecessary, but playing guitar to it must be weird af.

the speed of the guitar chug and how it sounds in the mix sometimes trips me up, too. You can't hear the notes effectively sometimes so it sounds off-time occasionally.
