It's really cool that you're stopping by, Paul. Thanks again for the incredible music (especially this album, of course). Any update on what the band is up to? I know you guys just got done with touring in April - I hope those shows were therapeutic for many reasons. Is it true you guys are thinking about writing a darker album next time around? Much love.

Hey Teal, thank you so much for listening and discussing it on here! we all needed a breather after the tour but we had a chat recently to see if everyone was into doing new stuff. Everyone is up for a new record, there’s been some bits/ideas written already but nothing moved on further. As for the feel, darker was something that was discussed but in practise it really depends how it organically develops, I’d be into whatever really, vocally I’m reliant on whatever mood Jonny and Rick create (Loss - the track being the only exception to that on the latest record).
I’m keen to experiment with more vocal ideas up front/without music and then reverse engineer the songs, always ideas and lyrics flowing here so let’s see what we can create. Whatever the case, it has to at least be on par with Loss, we won’t put anything out unless we love it as much

Stumbled back into this album. There’s just some straight up magical moments here - “Ardour”, “Tateishi”, and “But Not Forgotten” were hitting especially hard. Everything sounds so HUGE.

Definitely a 'grower' album for me, as have been all the albums after AFH (apart from EOL perhaps). Fave track is still The Narcissist but elsewhere despite largely clean vocals there are some real brooding gems such as But not forgotten, Acrimony, Ardour and Witness marks. Just a great and unique band, a real treasure, love em'.

Witness Marks is still a quintessential example of my perfect blend of music. Long, drawn out beautiful post-rock style crescendoes blended perfectly with more traditional metalcore/progcore riffs and great vocals.

I haven't paid for a concert ticket in years but this makes me want to save a quarter a day for a year or two to see them.
