In other news, Graceless is perfect, one of the best on here.

YES
I don't think Fireproof is the best here but it gets way too much hate, it's a beautiful song

It is a beautiful song but all the others are better :P

Sea of Love, Don't Swallow the Cap, Humiliation, and Graceless are my favs. Demons and I Need My Girl are also great.

You didn't see me, I was falling apart

I was a television version of person with a broken heart

I must say, Pink Rabbits sounds like the exactly the opposite of how I would expect a song called Pink Rabbits to sound.

You said it would be painless

It wasn't that at all

Like God Matt, you holding together buddy?

Yeah I find this to be their most depressing. High Violet comes close but some of its instrumental content saves it from being as soul-crushing as this one is.

hahah oh boy here we go again. I've had this debate many times on different threads, but yeah i agree, i think this is their most depressing album as well. The tone of High Violet strikes me more as angry than depressing, considering some of the violent imagery. the lyrics here though are almost uniformly desolate

I can actually see what you mean about High Violet being angry, though that descriptor definitely applies to some of its tracks more than others.

maybe not angry as much as more noticeably frustrated and bitter than most of their other work

"more noticeably frustrated and bitter than most of their other work"

This actually hits the nail on the head.

Not to say that HV isn't sad but it's not sad in the same way as this one is.
