Yo I just figured out to our friends in the great white north lyrics. I used to think it was about divorce or some shit but now I realize it’s about falling out with a friend

Basically about a friend who can’t speak for himself and molds to fit what he wants other people to think of him. The one line that always confused me was “it’s your fault fucking up the kids” but now I realize there’s a reason it’s the only clean singing in the song. It’s cause he’s talking to us, the listener. For putting so much pressure on his friend whether it’s expectations or fashion or whatever

"still cannot get over just how fucking intense the ending of C Thomas Howell was live, absolutely one of the best moments of my life" [2]

saw them last night and it was simply incredible

they played Afghamistam and then immediately went into C Thomas Howell and it was insane, a dude in front of me put his hands on his head in disbelief the transition was so awesome

they also added a part toward the end of Transitions From Persona to Object (basically extended the part where dave goes crazy with the pedal boards before everything subdues to just that ending drum pattern) that was maybe the heaviest thing I've ever heard

How were the vocals? I’m still trying to rationalize my decision of not going north to see what are probably their final shows

Edit: just looked up on yt and looks like they hold up p good

Dave's vox sound even more vicious now, he hasn't lost a single step since Narrows

honestly seeing them live just confirmed he's the greatest core vocalist ever
