Better than streaming. Don't often buy a cd unless i'm completely sold but was curious and getting better appreciation now

gotta get myself a rip then since the Spotify version sounds like absolute dogshit
the songs are fantastic but the production is regrettable

I've only listened to this on Apple Music, but found the mix to be pretty muddy, relative to many of their previous albums and other bands of this caliber

This is fine, but it sort of goes in one ear and out the other

Dull is the word I'd choose. It's well executed and there's a few cool riffs but it's leagues behind their best stuff.

What annoys me is the theme and concept of this album is really cool. Its just so bland nothing really stood out

White Christ is a weird one. Most of the track feels kinda unfinished and the guest vocals do not do it for me at all but that solo is honestly one of their best and kinda saves the song for me. Still, this track is whats keeping me from giving this a 4.5.
The run from Godforsaken to Starless Paths is godly though. While I thought Lilian was alright when it was first released as a single, in context with the album it is so much better and is a lot more powerful. The tremolo riff in Starless Paths chorus creates such a rich atmosphere and the solo is killer too.

Godforsaken and Starless Paths are the real standouts for me. Both those tracks are *chefs kiss*

Indeed. Both tracks sit pretty comfortably in my top 20 favourite songs from this band.
