This album is the best foo. Consistent practically no filler, coherent, solid and no singles driven. My second fave is their greatest hits 77, because from this one on, their singles are awesome.

Yeah I've never actually listened to this one in full before but damn I honestly like every song. Oh George sounds like an electric Neil Young song which is pretty cool

It really is. Right in my top 3 alongside Color and the Shape and Wasting Light

Decided to work my way through their discog chronologically. Haven't heard all of their stuff in a long while, but they're too much fun to ignore any longer.

Yeah, they get way too much hate honestly. Most of their records sound pretty similar to each other, but they’re often reliable and fun as hell. And The Colour and the Shape is an alternative rock masterpiece imo

Exactly. A totally silly amount of hate!
On The Colour and the Shape as we speak, and I did indeed underrate it horribly at first oof. Loving it right now!

"Exhausted" is their most underrated tune imo

This is probably their best, hardly any filler.
Colour is close behind and Wasting Light isn't too far away either.

Wasting Light fell hard for me the last time I jammed it honestly, not sure what my fave from them is anymore

I can't be the only one who wants a follow-up TCV album, right?

His forte has always been drums though, one of the best ever m/
|
| |
he also knew how to tune and mix his drums which give it that deep, impactful sound which alone is enough to make someone seem like a good drummer, but he had the chops to back it up too

Find myself gravitating to the moodier tracks off this like Floaty, Oh George and Exhausted. Great album, not something I grew up with personally, but feeling nostalgic vibes from it oddly enough.
