'Serve the Servants' was a 'purposeful deflator' for initial listens I think - almost the 'anti-Smells Like Teen Spirit'.
Then 'Scentless Apprentice' sounded like some Captain Caveman tomfoolery.
Ten listens later and classic.

Watching all of 'Superunknown' performed live did change my opinion on it and the band themselves - was an incredible performance, sounded unbelievable, perfect guitar sound in particular.
Honestly I also caught Faith No More that day and Pearl Jam recently and I'd easily put that Soundgarden show way ahead of both of those performances
