New song is cool. We are getting appcalypse vibes with the new record am I right? The beginning is massive and then it kinda stays in typical CoL riffs and bombastic chord progressions for the rest of the song, not something to complain about though.
Colin Stetson feat gets me hyped, too.

A Dawn to Fear was one of my favorite albums in recent memory but this one just didn't stick around for me all that much. Perhaps I expected too many "new" things from this band? I hope they don't beat their sound into the ground on the next release, it would be nice to have the next step in their evolution.

I wonder if this "darker" style that the artwork hints will be more crucial on next record, Cold Burn is good but it could as well be on Raging River or even Dawn to Fear, the vibe isn't as different, compared to changes made between all the older records.
Still, consistently awesome bands like CoL are rare.
