however, daniel seems much more of a duchebag than einar does.
(thanks RikRoach, was a bit sleepy before, so I didn't see where I commented!)

"Einar is great, but lacks the passion and the sound of ''i've been through too much'' that daniel has."
That's an interesting way of putting it. I agree with that, but that's probably because Daniel's music is more in the vain of "I've been through a lot of shit" than Leprous'.

Hah, indeed it is. Maybe there's a dialectic relation: on the one hand, they write music that fits their voices and on the other, their attitudes are reflected on the music they write.

Nicely written! Definitely made me feel listen to the album.

Out of interest, what was it about this album that didn't do it for you? Sorry if you've said it already. Know you're a pretty big fan of these guys.

It's boring. The songs don't progress. Nothing stands out except the cheesy vocal performance.

@Raven: Like Cosby said, the songs don't really progress. The album feels too linear and risk averse. Not enough variety in the songs. That would be fine if the mood of the album clicked with me, but that didn't either. And this has Daniel's weakest vocal performance for me. Feels too lazy and uninspired.

His vocal performance blew me away so I guess I'd better get on their old stuff. Honestly I vibe with the record's mood most of the time so I like it a lot

Album is amazing. A complete return to form and their best album since Remedy Lane.

Yeah, there's a few filler-y tracks cluttered up in the middle, but this one hits way more than it misses, and the hits hit hard.

I really wish I enjoyed it as much as you guys but this is bottom 3 POS for me. Maybe after taking time away from it I can appreciate it more, but I highly doubt it. Honestly I can't find what you guys enjoy so much about this album.
@Ocean: Their best since Remedy Lane is BE

@Fullofsound: He's a beast of a vocalist and has an incredible range, but he barely shows that here. But the thing is if you loved his performance here that means you might enjoy the fact that he's not all over the place dynamically.
On the older albums he brings the raw emotion with a lot of variety in his range, which is what I love about him. I'd say check out TPE and Remedy Lane as prime examples of that

Lazy? Well, can't use that word, considering what's been the last years. Linear? Yes, maybe I could see that, but generally I don't mind, album has some songs that blew me away. His voice is weak here, indeed, only compared to the rest of his discography. Besides, backing vocals more than compliment the songs and general sound.
Best album since Remedy Lane? Nope, not by a long shot.

I used lazy with regards to his vocal performance. He's not really pushing himself to come up with memorable vocal melodies on this album I feel. Lazy is a harsh word since I'm sure he put a lot of effort into the album, so I guess uninspired is better.
The songs I enjoyed from this are Tuesday, tongue, meaningless, silent gold, and that's about it

@Omairsh I completely agree. The dude was just on the verge of life and death for christ sake. He was literally being eaten alive by a flesh-eating bacteria.... and the songs are boring and hammed in. HOW? lol It honestly doesn't make any sense.
