only problem i have with the review is you seem to make lots of generalizations or baseless claims

or mention the actual sound of the music

Thanks for reading it, it's only my eighth of hopefully many reviews, so the comments help.
I can see what you mean by that, it was always a problem of mine while writing essays too. I'll look out for it in the future.

Considering the plethora if name drops, I wouldn't call it baseless.

Agreed with funeral. Too much thematic and legacy-based contemplation. Needs moar sound description.

@Hep
This conversation much better than the wall-of-text arguing of earlier.
I think the comments were more about what the genre meant for them, rather than the significance of the genre as a whole. It's my opinion that the pop-punk "umbrella" is too big, and that there's a very clear divide between the Yellowcards and Descendentses. Unfortunately, there isn't a discerning term I could have used without sounding like a genre geek (00s Pop-Punk, Pop-Punk-Emo, I'm cringing just thinking about it). I was talking about a certain kind of pop-punk, and I get how you'd be a bit defensive about me seemingly generalizing the genre under the terms of the more mainstream branch.

Yeah, Rosa's right on the money. Cut down the length and you're looking at a good 7 to 8 essay score on the ap language
exam.

I love this album but this review does not do it justice. It reads like a high school essay as mentioned above and wastes too much time discussing the genre. It tells me what the album is without saying why I should like it. Its not so egregiously bad that I'd neg it, Its just not a great review. It also lacks stylistically but that's entire issue of opinion.

i like they way he writes i mean the content isnt superb but the WAY HE WRITES is quite nice
and yeah i dont know what the point of ninja editing is i mean are you really that paranoid about what people think about u that u have to change wat u say lol

I found that reading the review was a more pleasant experience than listening to the album.
And besides, since did reviews ever have to been "as good as the album?" A bad album doesn't necessarily justify a bad review.

"Needs moar sound description."
It's excellent pop-punk music, that's really all that needs to be said. This isn't a genre where it's worthwhile to describe what the instruments are doing, how they interact etc.

'I'd much rather talk about this album'
problem is the review doesnt do this as much as it prob needs to
