^ They should have stopped a long time ago. They were never a solid act they just made horrible poppy punk songs that people ate up. They were showing a lack of ideas after the mid 90's but just kept trying to milk the current generation for cash and now its finally kicking them in the ass.

When you say mid 90s I think of Insomniac, and you're right, that album did show a lack of new ideas.
But then look at Nimrod, Warning, Shenanigans, and American Idiot. Green Day has the ability to
generate new ideas, and right now we are waiting for them to take a bigger move.
Even still, people have the right to eat up any album they want. If you love Insomniac, then love it.
I'd rather like more albums than less. If I could like every piece of music I ever hear, I would be
very happy. You can't really criticize people for liking music that you don't, because it is really
them that have it better.
