4 out of 5 is the only thing I've heard and it's just so empty. But for whatever reason I haven't stopped listening to it since I heard it

I don't think this is anything brilliant, but I can't say I actively dislike it. It's like... an album that would work as background music to other music I want to listen to.
Oh God, it's so boring I can't form an opinion for it.

Welcome to The Tranquility Base Hotel + Casino.
Disaffected by homogeneous culture? Rest your confused weary head and ease your body back from group think limbo.
While recuperating take a gamble on being an individual, roll the die.

This is one of the most homogenous albums I have ever heard. It both blurs into itself, and all the other faux retro indie crap that sounds like this atm

Even more so than the previous albums? I can guarantee you didn’t expect it did ya?
I’m just glad you could see where I was going with that statement poly dude.

Even when the previous albums sounded like other bands, QOTSA for instance, Turner always kept things fresh with his snarky voice and rapid fire lyrics. Both are mysteriously absent here, on a beige ass album where they are needed more than ever

People are finding things to love here, and that's great. As a casual Monkeys fan I'm left scratching my head/belly/arse

I’ve never rated them. The debut and follow up had their moments but it wasn’t ‘the future’ it was same old same old and there was absolutely fuck all to get excited about other than the band themselves who genuinely didn’t appear to give a toss and took the piss in interviews.
This for me is their best album, I’ve listened to it about 5 times and that’s more than any of the albums that came after Nightmare.

Yeah, I've never consistently enjoyed one of their albums, but there have always been 2 or 3 great cuts worth coming back to. Here, the only song I really dug was She Looks Like Fun... the rest is a bit much of a muchness

Albums their best tbh. I’ll take this over amateurish indie rock any day.
More songs like She’s thunderstorms, mad sounds, and party anthem are all I’ve ever wanted from AM.``
