Also, one thing about Jon Mess' lyricism is that he's not trying to give the words inherent meaning all the time. He likes to play with words and do wordplay (kind of similar to that of a rapper). Some lyrics have meaning, some don't. There's definitely some meaning on this album. Here Comes the Winner is about how fake reality tv is.

Isn't Rowan's favorite Happiness? Also just because you disagree with a review, does not make it bad in any regard

I mentioned in the review how I actually liked Here Comes the Winner. I'm also well aware how Mess doesn't always have meaning in his lyrics, having listened to more than one DGD song in my life. it doesn't excuse how lazy and boring they've become these days

That's because Jason was one hell of a bassist

I never said it was bad because I disagreed with it. That wouldn't be fair. Haha.

I just don't think they've become lazy or boring. That's just my opinion though. I shouldn't have said you thought it was their best. Also, I like Happiness, but it barely seems like a DGD record to me. It was very unique.

S/T and Happiness are my two favorites, Zac was a really solid part of the band during his time. Kurt obviously steered those in a different direction too, but still. Some of their best guitar work on those two
