i just feel like the crowd dynamics have to be a little weird since it's not like you can sing along and it's not really "everyone get on your feet" kind of music

IDK but for me personally seeing Caspian, half the time I was just in awe of their live show given that they had a pretty awesome orchestrated light show the night I saw them. The other half I was headbanging "responsibly" (i.e. being mindful of everyone around me and not ruining the night for them) to the main riffs/rhythms of the song.



That's pretty normal reaction for me at shows. Seeing something such as a Prurient "performance" (which I have on three occasions) on the other hand is a different story.
