Once you hear people that actually have insane vocal ranges, this stuff will feel underwhelming.

this is progressive death metal at its finest. You guys just dont like this because it is different and more progressive than you are used to from death metal bands.

Well i do believe Alex has a great range on his growls. I dont know many better guys in terms of range, minus the guys that actually branch out to clean singing with falsetos and all. Like Sotelo and Tommy Giles, for example.

They played a show I was at once and his vocals were actually on par with whats on Desolation of Eden. Fuck that album was such a guilty pleasure my freshman year of high school.

Deathcore should literally just be 6 song EP's with songs no longer than 2 1/2 minutes with one big breakdown. Don't write a fucking 16 song album with 5 minute songs and 80% breakdowns. That said, I still wouldn't like it all that much but stop trying so hard and embrace the fact that you're a deathcore band.
