they're far from the best and far from the worst. personally by the time i heard nevermind the bollocks i was already getting into classic US hardcore plus the weirder noisier shit so it just sounded like a decent rock n roll record. hearing PiL just made them seem even more forgettable. at the same time i def don't think they deserve the complete disdain some people have for them either, but they're such a cliche band to like that you're gonna get people who resent their preminence in punk history over more musically deserving bands. plus a few dickheads who like plenty of dubious shit but will trash them to appear more discerning
