You guys got me to check out Demilich, with all the comments about similarity and i definitely do not regret it. I actually prefer this a lot over their Nespithe, because I feel like it's more accessible and actually just beefier in tone. Also the vocals.

if you find demilich's vocals 'weird' or 'off-putting', just focus on the drums for a few listens. even if you absolutely hated the vocals this is such a good death metal album that it'd still be worth sitting through just to listen to the music. but the vocals actually rule so yea.
