You can't possibly be amused by this mechanical sounding bullshit can you? Where is the emotion, textures or really even instrumental creativity. They span a stupid gimmick over god knows how many songs and you fools eat up one time after another. There is nothing offered here other than rehashed shit over and over again that would be insufferably boring for even one band to do this long but then god forbid other bands followed in their robotic footsteps. This music isn't just bad it is offensively unhuman, it is a more mechanical process than any pop song to grace the top 40. Hell at least even nickelback has that motive down, they can sing about real life and some fluidity unlike this stark husk of an album.

My gif representation of this album rehashed 50 times: https://gcps.desire2learn.com/d2l/lor/viewer/viewFile.d2lfile/6605/4978/woman_conveyor_belt_hammer_hg_clr.gif

Well, Propose does have a purpose on what he said. (get it?)

But yeah he has a point, this definately isn't my thing either.

@Propose: You do realise that the main appeal of Meshuggah is their mechnical and soulless feel through repetition right? Also sure you don't have to like it but saying they constantly rehash is simply ignorant. All of their LP's are similar yet have their own trait which makes their outputs constantly different (e.g. Catch 33's far more amtospheric than all of their efforts, relies more on repetiton than all of their LP's and has an narrative musically and lyrically)

How is that appealing? Both of those are negative traits I'd prescribe to a bad album. That's like saying the main appeal of Brokencyde is their horrid songwriting, beats and vocals also sure I don't have to like it.

you know why they repeat the same formula with the same tones? because it's heavy as fuck and probably the most sinister sounda band can have. where's the textures and atmospherics? doesn't fucking need any since the whole point of this band is basically to be complete and utter chaos. sound too mechanical for your picky ass? that's called master musicians playing music impeccably well to reinforce the complete bleakness of their sound.

get off your high horse. if you don't like it fuck off and listen to tesseract
