I don't think it's a highlight, but it's a jam, yeah

I think I just like how much it shreds. The corny lyrics don't really bother me as others have pointed out

'RIYL: Excruciatingly intense homoerotic friendships; long road trips; non-dairy milk; hitting your Goodreads goal; Simon & Garfunkel; Elena Ferrante and Elif Batuman; being seen for who you really are; being loved in spite of your most self-destructive tendencies'

these Pitchfork 'best album of the year' blurbs are mining a level of cringe I didn't believe was reachable by mortals (I know they're meant to be funny and cute, not serious)

This album is like... an advertisement for each of their solo stuff. "You like the Phoebe songs? Well check out her full length albums!" Etc.

idk I like it 🤷

It has a cozy and intimate atmosphere which isn't quite like anything else from them - feels like sitting around a campfire on a chilly fall evening. I will say the songwriting is a bit slight compared to the s/t EP and this album.

Yeah, I like it too. The first two songs are very good in my opinion (especially Afraid Of Heights), then it falls off from there.
