Ive listened to it a bunch of times now and it gets better. Especially through good headphones.

Only heard it once on low volume while working, so I'm obviously going to wait for multiple proper listens to score this.



Initial impressions: I thought it was excellent, but I freely admit I am a fanboy. I actually think Fire Is the Final Lesson rules hard and can't get it out of my head. Other tracks reminded me of Given to the Rising, which for me is more than fine as I personally think it's one of their best albums. One thing I would say is that Given had a few truly crushingly heavy moments (e.g Distill) which I don't remember here, but as I say I haven't heard it properly yet on full volume.



I'm really looking forward to getting to know it properly.
