lol i've seen him live and no he is not that great at all. when he performed Hollywood and Sally Hatchet and a couple others they were great and the rest was honky tonk bullshit and him basically just sucking his own dick.

maybe it was the festival environment + an awesome stage setup, but the new songs slayed live. "Ideal Husband" as the closer was ridiculous. never seen him in a smaller venue so can't speak to that

it was indeed a small venue. he was such an unlikeable megalomaniac cock sucker tho damn, no wonder he got kicked out of fleet foxes.

Pots, you're such a nihilist

not even a little bit, the ideals of nihilism are absolutely contradictory to everything i stand for (other than perhaps the fact that i am moderately skeptical about many things - which in no ways makes me a nihilist)

definitely a cynic. i cant argue that :p

pretty sure he left Fleet Foxes on his own

i don't actually know. i just assumed he got kicked out cuz he's such a massive douche.

but all biases aside, those few songs of his from the debut that i love, he did a fantastic job of and it made the rest of the honky tonk bullshit worth suffering through. so if you are into that stuff (and this terrible album) im sure his live set would be great in either atmosphere (bar or fest). i just hate his attitude and like 65% of his music.

album is soo unbelievably boring. It's pretty at times, but I don't know, 2.5 is pretty generous. I don't know, everything that's connected to the fleet foxes just makes me want to go to sleep.
