Rise of the Lion is definitely a dumpster fire; the production on it is awful. But most of the rest of their stuff is pretty good. The vocals from both Levi and Josh particularly on this one are great.

really depends on the style they're going for i feel
for example i love the raw production on the latest album from the used and think that adds to the album, but that wouldn't work on everything.

usually bad production won't outright ruin an album for me unless it takes a whole lot away from the desired effect. for example, a deathcore album with plastic production to the point where it makes it not heavy like a deathcore album should be...nah.
