Summary: Fusing sleaze rock, punk, and classic rock; Time Bomb is the defining Buckcherry record as it has everything a rock fan could want.

Even though Buckcherry hasn't had that much success, they're a band destined to be idolized. They've just managed to fly under the radar; and this puzzles me because their sophomore release Time Bomb is one of the best albums of the millenium. Their guitars are unique, they are surprising melodic; and you just want to get up and jam when you listen to their music. Joshua Todd, the lead singer has a great rock voice; and he's the ideal, crazy rock star you hear stories about. Whether they're trying to bring sleaze rock back into the mainstream or fuse metal and punk, they're managing to catch the ears of rock fans everywhere; and Time Bomb is no exception.

Time Bomb features a wide variety of songs; from the loud jamfest that is Front Side to the slower ballad of Seque, Time Bomb doesn't manage to disappoint. Front Side is one of Time Bomb's more catchy, melodic tunes with it's classic rock feel and Todd's screaming vocals. Ridin' isn't as hard or troublesome to keep up with, but still shines with it's raunchy, screaming vocals and loud, melodic guitars. While Time Bomb, the title track received moderate airplay, it's not one of the best on the record; as it gets a bit repetitive, but isn't a passover. 'Porno Star' is where Time Bomb shines with it's catchy intro guitar riff and overly raunchy lyrics. The song just feels like a classic rock song which is good or bad; depending on what you like.

Place in the Sun feels like a 60s rock tune with it's simple riffs, quieter melodic verses and loud, repetitive choruses; while Seque feels like a modern, nu-metal ballad with it's lower vocals. Underneath is another kick-tail song like Front Side featuring fast, loud guitars and Joshua Todd at the top of his vocal range. Then of course there's Whisky In The Morning a fast, loud, tempo-driven song; Fall is loud, rough, but seems kind of mellow considering how hard Time Bomb actually is. The guitar riffs are excellent and the chorus is very catchy.

All in all Time Bomb is a hard, rough around the edges tribute back to the 70s. Mixing sleaze rock, punk, and classic rock, Time Bomb succeeds in everything Buckcherry's debut failed in. This is Buckcherry's defining record in my opinion; it's got everything you could want out of a hard rock band; hard, loud guitars; a few ballads, and most of all, loud, screaming vocals. Time Bomb is a must pick-up for any rock fan. Period.

Your grammar is suffering a little (you use "it's" instead of "its" and you've left out a couple of commas in vital places) but otherwise well-written review, if a little lacking in detail. This album is OK, but 15 is miles better, for the most part due to having a better rhythm section.

I heard that "Crazy Bitch" single and though it was one of the worst rock singles I'd heard in years. Is it worth investigating further?

Yeah 'Crazy Bitch' was the single from 15. They mostly sound like a heavier Black Crowes, if that's your thing.

Black Crowes are another one I've only heard one song by, except that one was alright.

I might whack them on my backburner. I hear a lot about them.

15 was not as good as this album. I hate that song Crazy Bitch. Mindless, immature profanity.

Isn't it?

In other news, I literally only just noticed the Chuck Berry pun.
