I listened to this album countless times after hurricane Katrina on my ipod doing night stock at Sav-a-Center in the suburbs of New Orleans. I would often walk home at about 7 in the morning on a three mile trip to my house and play this album relentlessly about two or three times until I made it home for many days. This album is the prototype of what indie rock aspired to become in the 2000s, and it still holds its ground today.

I kinda like the ?red? re-recording better, actually. Which is a bit confusing, cuz I definitely like the ?make out music? on this album less than the one on Gay?, even though the two re-recordings differ from the originals in similar ways

An amazing follow-up to Gay? hindered only by the re-recordings of "Red" and "Makeout Music" The latter is decent but not as good, but "Red" completely loses the amazing rythm in the drums and guitars.
