its good. review is good.
i'll give it the benefit of the doubt.
Deathcore has endured a troubled life since its early origins at the beginning of 00’s.
sounds weird. 'turn of the century' perhaps?

Thanks for advice everyone. I'd like to make this a review a decent one.

The drummer’s rhythms are metronomic and incredibly fast at times and now the drums now have a refreshing ‘real’ sound. The cymbal production is excellent and they are largely audible, this being another problem with the original version. For example check the end to “Drifts” when there are a number of time changes inside a minute and the drummer interchanges nicely between his crash and china cymbals.
The bass might as well not be present because the guitars play such a prominent role in the music.
The vocals are fairly standard, the new vocalist interchanges between the most common middle range hardcore shout and occasionally ranges to high pitch screams and low pitch growls. Although nothing special he is a massive improvement on the previous vocalist who hampered the previous release.
merge this paragraph and you're gold.

No it's just a bit cliche to open a review with wide statements about a genre like "metalcore is controversial among metal fans" or "post rock has a lot of frustrating/stagnant genre blah blah"

I appreciate that but i like giving a brief overview of the genre as a whole rather than just flying into a review about an album. I'm quite new to reviewing and try and make things quite clear. Making generalisations is not really a good thing but I'm going to leave it this time and try and not do it again because I feel it relevant due to Deathcore's general bad reputation, i think its relevant because this isn't quite so bad. Even to those who hate all things to do with the genre, nevermind those who hate the crap being churned out by your atypical deathcore band.
