“Ladies and gentlemen, due to unforeseen circumstances, Slipknot will not be performing this evening. We are as we speak, trying to rectify this situation. We’ll be right back with you."
This is how the album opens, and the audience becomes infuriated by hearing this. It’s only a joke, don’t worry. The band then came on stage and gives another phenomenal performance. In case you don’t know who is in the band, these are the members and what they do:
#0: Sid Wilson: Turntables
#1: Joey Jordison: Drums
#2: Paul Gray: Bass
#3: Chris Fehn: Custom Percussion
#4: James Root: Guitar
#5: Craig Jones: Samples and Media
#6: Shawn Crahan: Custom Percussion
#7: Mick Thompson: Guitar
#8: Corey Taylor: Vocals
This is a really long performance, spanning over twenty songs and a drum solo. It would be way too monotonous to cover every song track by track, so I’ll confine this down into a format that you should all be happy with.
What was good about the album:
• As you would expect, the drums. Joey Jordison is the band’s most talented member and he certainly lives up to this position in this show. The entire show is loaded with great fills, fast bass drumming, and the like. Drummers should give this a listen.
• The guitars and bass, and occasional turntable scratching. Jim and Mick deliver crushing riffs, weird effects, and occasionally a solo or two. Check out them in Pulse of the Maggots and Vermilion if you want to really see how talented these guys really are. The bassist, Paul Grey, usually isn’t heard during their studio albums. You’ll actually be able to hear him give the song a strong backing groove and also play some nice fills. The band’s DJ, Sid Wilson also adds his nice little touch during such songs as Eyeless, Purity, and (Sic).
• The selection of songs. The band plays the best songs from each album, so there’s something to enjoy for any type of Slipknot fan, whether you like their older sound or their newer one.
What was bad about the album:
• The vocals. Corey Taylor has certainly given better performances in live shows, especially on their DVD Disasterpieces. His screams are sloppy, and he’ll occasionally hit a wrong note. It might be annoying to some listeners, knowing that Corey can do so much better.
• The fact that the band never plays anything off of their first album, Mate.Feed.Kill.Repeat. It would be really nice to hear a song or two off of that album, because it’s probably the band’s best release to date.
• It’s a little weird listening to this because at times you’ll here Corey say that they’re playing in Dallas and then he’ll go saying that they’re playing in Phoenix, then Singapore, and more more venues. I was a little puzzled by this when I first listened to this, but then you'll realize that this isn't one performance, it's a medley of their tours.
Recommended Tracks:
Disasterpiece
Purity
Pulse of the Maggots
Spit It Out
People = ****
If you’re a fan of live albums, nu-metal, or anything related to Slipknot, you should give this a listen. I’m a fan of the band so I quite enjoyed this album. I’d also like to hear some comments about whether you like my

I didn't think they would make a live album either, but I'm actually quite impressed by it.
And that format was the reason for that big paragraph. Everything should be fixed now.
