Have you ever been high as ***? Jon Lajoie has. The internet sensation posted his first videos on YouTube in 2007 and has since become one of the prime reasons, along with Unforgivable, to visit the site. His hilariously lowbrow songs and sketches have garnered millions of views, and have left fans crying out for a CD version of his work. As of January 31, 2009 his fans have gotten their wish with the release of Jon Lajoie's first album You Want Some Of This?

Any Cheetos enthusiast that has taken time from their busy schedule of watching episodes of Tim and Eric Awesome Show Good Job, reruns of Scrubs on Comedy Central, and viewing copious amounts of internet pornography to watch Jon Lajoie's YouTube channel will instantly recognize the songs on You Want Some of This?, as the online only release compiles all of Lajoie's musical material. The upbeat acoustic guitar of "Too Fast" is the perfect setting to make light of premature ejaculation as Lajoie gently sings "I come too fast. I come too fast. A couple of strokes and my erection is a thing of the past". "High As ***" is a touching ballad to being exactly that. Lajoie does his best (insert top 40 soft-rock artist here) impression as he reminisces about the times when "You're in the bathroom mirror talking to yourself and your dog's looking at you like you need help" and "Thinking 'bout ketchup chips and for some reason the game battleship".

Jon Lajoie's most popular songs have to be the Everyday Normal Guy trilogy and all three can be found on You Want Some of This?. The faux hip-hop jams about how unremarkably average Lajoie claims to be contain some of his best one liners as he claims that he is "as entertaining as an STD" and that "last time I had sex was in 2003 and I am ashamed to admit but it wasn't free". The highlight of the trilogy has to be in "Everyday Normal Guy 2" where he spits out "My favorite toy was my ***ing firetruck, Bitch! I used to play with that, mother ***er, all day long until I learned about sex from the sears catalog, and then I played with my mother ***er, all day!" with flawless flow.

The best songs by far on You Want Some of This? have to be the two "Show Me Your Genitals" tracks. The hilariously awful flow and antiquated beats up the cheese factor as Lajoie gets about as misogynistic as humanly possible. "Show Me Your Genitals" will have even the most sensitive and feminine of men chuckling loudly as Lajoie describes his distaste for small talk with "I can't have sex with your personality, and can't put my penis in your college degree, and I can't shove my fist in your childhood dreams, so why are you sharing all this information with me?" The sequel, "Show Me Your Genitals 2: E=MC Vagina" follows the path laid by its predecessor with it's opening of "Women are equal and they deserve respect. Just kidding, they should suck my dick." From there it delves right into Lajoie's love for muff.

You Want Some of This? is not without its faults. While it was nice to see Lajoie put out all of his musical projects, some of them just fall short without the videos. "Stay At Home Dad" is a prime example of this. When viewed on YouTube, it is held afloat by Lajoie's portrayal of a lazy, white trash, stay at home father but without this, it is nothing more than the result of weed, a love for 90's radio rock and some free time. The same can be said for "Cold Blooded Christmas". Without the visual of a man repeatedly shooting and dismembering his uncle dressed as Santa Claus, it just doesn't have the same effect.

For those that enjoy the works of the crass Canadian, You Want Some of This? is like mana from heaven. Even though some of the songs don't function on the same level without the videos complimenting them, comedic gems like "Show Me Your Genitals", "High As ***", and "Everyday Normal Guy" make You Want Some of This? worth the purchase.
