At my initial stages of discontent received the expected denial-bias treatment. It cannot be that The Streets would drop so low, I must surely be missing something. But right off the second spin I immediately knew what was wrong: this album cannot be described as anything other than 'flat'. And not flat as in lacking thematic or lyrical depth - although Mike Skinner admittedly is not at his best game here -, neither is it flatness meaning straightforwardness. No, it's flat, because it sounds flat. It sounds like half-hearted demo ideas repeated to insanity, played back from an old piece of discount hardware. It sounds crude, underwritten, perfunctory, tasteless. Flat as can be.

The first track Call my phone is awesome. The rest is crap!

This was just way too corny, and it is hard to tell if he is being tongue in cheek or serious
