Review Summary: kimm thrash
Its common knowledge that christian music is ***ty, but there are in fact some diamonds in the ***. This being one of them. The first track titled Gone starts with machinery noises or doors closing, who cares. You then hear drills of pain and suffering, what in the *** is happening? only god knows. Then enters a beastly chug of pure metal fist. As soon as the main riff starts you know this aint no ordinary christian metal album, this one actually has ***ing balls. Balls of meat. The main riff of this song ***s me up, its like going normal time but then goes backwards or something but damn its sweet. The second track Future mind begins with some weird sounding disco *** then some gonk says something then we are straight back to the riffs. the main riff on this song is catchy as thrashy as *** and catchy at the same time, these guys know a thing or two about hard riffs. The musicianship is extremely good, the guitars are highly complex, these dudes use some irregular chords which sound disgusting, yet catchy. The solos are especially good too. The bass is hardly audible which sucks dick. Vocally Kurt sings with passion, you can tell he doesnt give a *** what you think, and if you got a problem he will kick your ass the christian way. The stand out moments of the album are the main riff of No Apology, its awesome and sounds completely ***ed up yet its catchy. The end of singularity features the legendary roar from The Exorcist III, which you probably know from Crytopsy's Crown of Horns. Well this came BEFORE bitch. The album is overall a much more progressive affair than previous releases, featuring crazy ass time signatures and drawn out to *** sections, which mostly arent boring. The album finishes off with a trilogy of songs, but theres 4 tracks so what the dick? These tracks are fairly different from the rest of the album, featuring violins and female vocals. Its a cool way to end the album and the woman sounds hot.
I guess as a genre you could call this boring thrash, but it seriously rocks. If you love prog and thrash you will dig the *** out of this. The songs mostly follow a similar method throughout, which is thrash riffs, long drawn out prog sections and crappy christian lyrics, put those 3 things together and you have a hell of an album.
