2 of 2 thought this review was well written
It's about time NOFX releases a DVD after the bands countless exploits. You could say that the band never takes themselves seriously, as the DVD shows. NOFX have been around for a pretty long time. More than ten years as the title assumes (the next DVD is yet to be released and it's called The first 20 years). Overall this is a pretty cool DVD with a lot of the bands songs played live. If you thought this was a concert, it isn't. It's more of a vague look at the bands itself. Most of it is random concert footage, while some of it is home-video style recording where you can't hear jack. The song selection is a little off too. You would expect songs like the band's classic Bob or Beer Bong to be on the DVD. But why include songs like, Buggley Eyes or Shower Days? That's a pretty bug kick in the balls considering the DVD is 18 bucks. But there were some pretty awesome things about this DVD.
One of the things I really liked was the extra feature where you can watch the DVD with the bands commentary. The commentary is effing hilarious and has the occasional 'F-Bomb' in it. It makes the DVD worthwhile regardless off the song selection. I also loved how at their concerts the fans were either completley insane about the music and were moshing or whatnot, or they absolutley HATE the band. When they hate it they grab the cd covers and shove it in the cameras face and scream about how obscene it is. Oh yeah, and the intro to the DVD is a bunch of rockstars saying how much NOFX sucks. They're my on of my favorite bands but they DO suck. Some of their songs are soooo uninspired that it's silly. But that shows that the band has always had big potential. But enough on the band and lemme get the the no-so-good points of the album.
But they're were also a ton of disappointments here. Number one being that there were no special features except for the commentary. Well, the Vandals get to make fun of them a little but that's about it. Another thing I hated was the fact that they chose some really crappy songs to put here. I would have LOVED to see something like "Punk Guy" or even "Franco Un-American"! But sadly the band made poor song choices here. That's pretty much all but that is a HUGE factor in the rating of the DVD.
In conclusion, this is a pretty good DVD with some really interesting points but the bad song selection bring it down immensley. Other than that the commentary is cool and I love the cover of "Iron Man". Get this DVD if you love NOFX, if not then keep away.

i like how these guys can write a relatively complicated song (instrumentally), for example the decline, death of john smith, soul doubt etc. and then go and write a minute long three chord shout-along. used to be my favourite band, and i do occasionally go back and dip into the albums, as theyre all good, as is this dvd.
Digging: Dresden Dolls - Yes Virginia | | | I don't care for the band, but what a brilliant name for a disc! It's great.
| | | From the track listing this DVD looks good, it contains a lot of classics such as "Bob" "Green Corn" and "S&M Airlines"
I just started getting back into NOFX and there are one of the few pop-punk bands that I enjoy.
| | | Same here. I just can't get off NOFX recently.
Once you pop, you just cant stop.
Poor DVD, but the commentry makes up for it
123. The only way I can watch this is with the commentary, as it's hilarious and most of the footage is fairly boring.
Digging: Agoraphobic Nosebleed - Agorapocalypse | | | yeah, this DVD was a reissue of the VHS released in 94, but the commentary was added for the reissue, hense why Franco Unamerican wasnt on there.

I love NOFX. They're probably my favourite band if for nothing else than they have just so many songs that I like, which comes from releasing a f*ck-load of material. But this DVD is crap. I'm glad I didn't pay for it.
