As much as it pains me to admit, The Final Battle I is an overall poor effort. Most of it is not offensive, with "March of the Heroes Into Valhalla" being a nice introduction to the album, "Blood and Steel" an average track, representative of modern Manowar, and "Sword of the Highlands" an okay track I guess. But combine the mediocrity of these songs with the awful "You Shall Die Before I Die" which features vocals by DeMaio, and what you have is an album that screams lack of inspiration.
