3.2 good | Voivod STAFF | May 1st 19 | With releases such as the 1989 demo and Dark Hallucinations album, Steel Prophet have secured their deserved place among the notable US metal bands. The God Machine feels equidistant to the band's default style and European/British heavy metal, also due to Dimitris Liapakis (Mystic Prophecy etc.) joining their ranks. Liapakis propels the band with his bag of instantly recognizable vocal/song writing tricks, but arrangements in general, lack the elements that would render the album abundant replay time.
