While Black Sabbath made some of the greatest metal albums ever including my second favourite, sabbath bloody sabbath, it seems like sabotage have been overlooked after the great review of it 5 predesesors. I think it should not, and everyone who had judged this album should give the cd a second spin. The record itself got good reviews but maybe Black Sabbath had just been forgot after their phenomenal success...

Track reviews

1- Hole in the sky -this song has pretty heavy guitar riffs and seems faster than usual black sabbath records. The song seems like a gig and has all to make it good. One of the album's greatest.
(5/5)

2-Don't start (too late)- Theres a problem there. Has on master of reallity's embryo, it seems that the album is too short because of these 30 seconds song. This one is not useful for the album and seems to be there to fill the empty parts of the album. Has embryo, it is guitar only and this one has a really unusual melody and isnt symptom's intro at all. This one contributes to the -.5 points i took off for the five stars.
(3/5)

3-Symptom of the universe- This one is awesome and was last sabbath's success with ozzy has their singer. It is typical N.W.O.H.M. (new wave of british heavy metal) and this one was one of metallica's influence. The guitar solo is awesome and the calm outro is pretty cool too.
(5/5)

4-Megalomania- My favourite on the album. This one is great and begins by a unusual smooth guitar and voice intro. 2 minutes later it begins to rock and a incredible guitar riff comes out. Then the solo is similar to symptom's with the same effects. Great song.
(5/5)

5-Thrill of it all- This one did not click to me but i know it is a great song. It's just that there are so many great songs on the album that you just don't want to hear that one.
(4/5)

6-Supertzar-One of my favourite guitar riffs ever. Pretty heavy but when these choral like voices comes out from nowhere you skip that song. Without that song, the album would have a 5 star review.
(3.5/5)

7-Am i going insane (radio) -This one is sâcially different of the others Sabbath songs. For some it may suffer of oversynth but for me it's just a great song. Some may also dislike this song because it is not has black sabbath use to play their music and thats ok but i think it is a great song on this album. The song is pretty short and the ending links with the writ's beginning.
(5/5)

8-The writ-The writ is the perfect ending for that album and is one of sabbath's greatest too. Once you heard that song you get addicted to it because it is a really simple song.
(5/5)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you got that cd, you may think i am stupid because i put the song in the wrong way but that is what the original setup of the album. I think the version that is in store now is the one with this setup.

1-hole in the sky
2-dont start (too late)
3-symptom of the universe
4-megalomania
5-thrill of it all
6-supertzar
7-the writ
8-am i going insane (radio)
9-sweet leaf (live)

every single sabbath fan must own this cd!

no im sorry i actually bolded it. remember this all has to be connected, [ B ] song title [ / B ] just like that but they all have to be unspaced and connected. oh yeah and write the reviews in microsoft word first so u can check for spelling errors. and u gotta give me mre info on each song. try to give a paragraph a song. I know its hard but it eventually becomes routine.

ok, a paragraph is usually a 3 to 5 sentence set about one topic. like the intro to your review. thats about a paragraph long. it can be shorter but around 4 or 5 sentences should do

Totally underrated Sabbath record. All the songs are amazing save Am I going Insane (which is ALRIGHT, but certainly showed the terrible path they were going to take with the next two ozzy era records)

Thrill of it All has some of my favorite vocals from Ozzy (as does Symptom) atleast in the beginning section before it changes.

Don't Start is an awesome transition piece between the first and second songs (which are both heavy, and a little mellow filler makes Symptom kick off like a fucking freight train.)

I've only heard the track Am I Going Insane off their greatest hits. I like it, but I could see people not liking it since it has a poppy sense to it.

Theres a problem there. as on master of reallity's embryo,

Embryo was the perfect intro to Children Of The Grave I thought. Anyways I'm on my way to collecting all the Sabbath albums...and by that I mean all the Ozzy albums...and by that I mean all the good albums. I've got Black Sabbath, Master Of Reality, Vol. 4, and Sabbath, Bloody Sabbath

Still heavier (and much much better) than some of the crap being passed off as metal today
