It's really no wonder why this project is getting the shine it is (and deserves). This surprise EP is a nice end of the year treat, and is a pretty solid release all around. The first three tracks are really great, with the beautifully wondering sounds of opener "Wound The Earth" giving way to a masterfully dark piece in "Vitamins Beneath The Rippling Soil", which contains the peak of the album in a perfect ending crescendo. Closer "Ghast" does drag somewhat in its fourteen minute runtime, but it sounds good enough to keep things easy on the ears and mind during this time. Pretty swell stuff, and the new full-length is much anticipated.
