The Spill Canvas are a band from Sioux Falls who have a remarkable history. After Releasing two amazing albums, the acoustic "Sunsets And Car Crashes" and the pure-rock of "One Fell Swoop," they return with something familiar-yet-different.

Beginning with a near-identical (minus the bridge) "remix" of "Staplegunned" from their last album, you get an immediate idea of what you've got in store, even if you've heard the song before. It starts right off with a good riff and the lead singer's amazing vocals. Next up, we get a cover of the song "Gold Dust Woman," which is done surprisingly well, and then we're thrown into possibly the best Spill Canvas song ever, "To Live Without It." Starting off with a great riff, a soft verse, and then an incredible, moving chorus ("Whoah....OFF and on, OFF and on, we need to break this spell that we've cast upon ourselves. OFF and on, OFF and on, we need to quit, I don't think I have the strength to live without it.") with a double meaning of drug addiction and love (a common theme for The Spill Canvas). Next up is "Appreciation and the Bomb," a mediocre slow song, along with the cover of "Catch The Wind."

So thats all! It's just an EP, but if not for anything else, it's worth it just for "To Live Without It" and "Gold Dust Woman."
