Threads in the rules thread can be bumped but not in an idiotic way such as *bump*

SpecialBoy 05-07-2005 12:42 PM

Yes sir!

MasterSander 10-15-2005 10:03 AM

Nice list, I'm happy I have a lot of those high-ranked albums

guns_of_brixton 10-15-2005 12:21 PM

Strange that there's only 2 Dead Kennedys albums on there.

gabbahey there we go 10-15-2005 12:43 PM

i know im biased as hell, but how is the ramones debut 19?

Surf Q. Hardcore 10-15-2005 12:46 PM

Brain Toad 10-15-2005 12:48 PM

Because it was voted in that position.

It's always lovely when this thread is bumped

Lazybassplr56 10-15-2005 12:50 PM

This was so good. When I was reading this I would to think of a album that should be on the list and then I would scroll down and it would be there. Good job.

BillyBonebrake 10-17-2005 05:52 AM

That list needs work. :smash:

Maverick_Special 10-17-2005 03:36 PM

It is a great list...except that the Ramones should've been higher. Other than that it is clearly a definitive list of punk albums.

voodooglowskulls 10-17-2005 03:53 PM

decent...some errors

btw, op ivys album wasnt self entitled its called energy...just hint there...

and in my opinion Mediocre Generica is alot better than F world Trade

AIRIC 10-17-2005 03:54 PM

Why do you idiots post in this?

Rockafella 10-17-2005 03:59 PM

Operation Ivy has had one album, yes, it was called Energy. No one has actually really heard Energy on its own, as it was limited pressed and probably only vinyl. The one everyone is heard is their self-titled discog which is Energy + other songs (from EPs and Comps)

So both of you are pretty much wrong. I wish morons would sotp bumping this, especially when everytime people bring up the same f'ucking thing!

moe. 10-17-2005 06:40 PM

Great list

Skidmark Steve 10-17-2005 06:53 PM

i dont like TOP Album lists'. There too opinionated

thedirtyguy 10-18-2005 07:34 AM

i would hardly put the more pop-punk bands like nofx, bouncing souls, and afi in the top 100 punk albums alongside bands like the unseen, the dead kennedys, the varukers, and the exploited....also aus-rotten has always been one of my favorites, but think they're more crusty than just plain punk.....and you have bands like the partisans in there? thats oi!, not punk....and tiger army is in there....thats psychobilly....you didnt just put punk bands on here....like discharge...gotta love em, but they pioneered d-beat, rather than following in the footsteps of the ramones

these are genres that stemmed off of punk, but they aren't subgenres of punk anymore....theyve had hundreds of bands define them and make them entire genres of their own

the point is, there ended up being alot of non-punk bands in that "punk" list

but the actual punk albums that ended up in there, i do agree with
so, good job on those parts

they've had one full length album, yes...but they had a couple 7 inches, too. which havent been re-released to date....but noone's heard energy on its own? i beg to differ....i have an original copy on cassette....and there are countless bootlegs of that cassette floating around ebay, etc.

voodooglowskulls 10-18-2005 07:47 AM

...

the 7 inches were just singles...energy was the only full album.

XDarknessX 10-24-2005 08:59 PM

thanx for putting DK at num. 1 great list

SynthesizedRudeboy 10-24-2005 09:31 PM

95.Bouncing Souls - Maniacal Laughter

I also expected to see hopeless romantic on there, which I didn't maybe I overlooked it

so disapointing I felt the bouncing souls should have been higher

and I was very glad to see catch 22 and streetlight manifesto on there

xChargedxPunkx 10-25-2005 06:34 PM

nice

Jawaharal 10-25-2005 06:39 PM

Its a sin that Zen Arcade, Pink Flag, and Entertainment! are so high on the list
