Anyone know some good Spanish Ska Bands. I like Unidad, Cerveza y Ska by Inspector and Tres Veces Tres by Panteon Rococo, which got me into spanish ska. So anything that you think I would be interested throw them my way. Also I don't wanna hear the Clash sing in spanish, so don't even post that.

pedro durruti 03-31-2005 01:33 AM

Skamoondongos, Ska Cubano (Cuban, obviously, but they sing in Spanish- not all the time though), Jamaica 69

hey do the ska bands get that sound? is it like some weird effect cuz i'm buyin a pedal soon and i need to know

sweboy 04-02-2005 04:15 PM

You're talking about the guitar? It aint no effects, it's all about the technique. I'm sure there's a lot of threads in the guitar forum about it, so check it out.

Hey kids, might have some exciting information that I need your help with, but I'll have to sort out the details first so I'll ask you guys for ideas in a couple of days :D

I read a short review of them in the Observer that was only a few lines long but said they were great so when I saw it at my local independent record shop a few months later I bought it then uploaded it.

pedro durruti 04-04-2005 07:43 PM

Observer?

Hey Kith how is the Rx Bandits show these days

sketchyjoe 04-04-2005 07:53 PM

Not addressed to me but...I saw them a month ago about and it was good, real high energy and I love the jam sessions they do.

I don't know. I've only seen them once and it was at Warped tour '02 and their stage was right in front of a dusty area so you couldn't dance without wheezing.

Cheers dude.

Ok kids, Adam announced my exciting announcement

So I got an interview with Big D, I may need your help coming up with questions though because as much as I love that band's I don't usually pay attention to the members and such. Anyhow, we can save that for another week, you don't want to peak too early with your amazing suggestions. ;)

You lot should listen to Square if you haven't already. I was meant to be seeing them a couple of weeks ago but I couldn't :upset: But they're amazing anyway. Swedish (if I'm not mistaken) ska-punk. Innit.

I thought you were pregnant with Kithkin's baby. That would've been much more exciting.

Jas 04-05-2005 11:57 AM

I only wish :upset:

Wow dude, nice thread.... very informative

Whenever I hear Five Iron Frenzy, i just laugh, and laugh, and laugh some more....
If I remember one of their songs went like this....

WHEN I GO OUT I PLAY IN THE STREET
I GET HIT BY CARS
I MAKE MASHED POTATOES
I GET HIT BY CARS!

All of this was song in a Screamo style...... Very interesting

Mizar 04-06-2005 03:27 PM

I was at a pretty decent ska show over the weekend. My friends' band and four other bands from southwest Ontario played at a club in my city. It was definately the fullest I've ever seen the place compared to all the other shows which normally sell pretty well.

Five iron frenzy was one of the best third wave ska bands

efdrummer89 04-06-2005 08:08 PM
