Anyone Going to Nintendo Fusion Tour show today?

yea i said that instead of saying fall out boy, motion city soundtrack, boys night, and panic show cause someone might get offended if i jsut said one band.....so anyone going?

Permanent Solution 10-31-2005 12:57 PM

It already came through here. I didn't go, I hear it sold out though, so I guess other people liked it.

kurrpt 10-31-2005 01:00 PM

so it has nothing to do with video games, and everything with music?

sounds kind of pointless

They have "game stations" at the back apparently where you can play new games on the GC and DS. I'm not sure, I never went, but I knew they had game sections.

I'd be torn about going. On one hand, it's 5 completely amazing bands (The Starting Line, anyone?) on one night. I love tours like that, where you see all these fantastic bands on one night.

On the other hand though, I've also heard the shows were crap. They are filled with snobby girl scenesters, accompanied of course by their ever-giving fathers. There's no pits as well. In fact, I know this one guy who went and tried to start a pit with his friend, and some girl's dad shouted at him for "elbowing his daughter".

MichaelGou 10-31-2005 01:17 PM

it could be like that but i dunno, the lineup its pretty good so i think it should be a pretty good show or liek you said...they might be dumb cause thered be stupid people

Yeah but the Vans warped tour has nothing to do with shoes....

That's different. Vans make clothing for skate companies, bands, they've released compilation CDs and DVDs.

Ok, the carling festival has nothing to with carling, and the V festival has nothing to do with V's

Kif 10-31-2005 01:53 PM

Carling Weekend does sell Carling, and that argument was pathetic.

In the end, all these companies are doing is sponsoring the events. They didn't plan the tours, book the bands, they just slapped the company name up to draw in more people and show off some of their products.

Gnarmageddon 10-31-2005 02:23 PM

I would be going next month, but the show's sold out. :-/

My arguement was perfectly valid.

Kif 10-31-2005 02:26 PM

What? That V Festival has nothing to do with V's? Because that's what I was pointing out, and if that was sarcasm from you then I didn't detect it

It wasnt sarcasm... Well, i dunno.

form 10-31-2005 02:30 PM

No, I'm not going. If I was it would be cool to see FOB, and BoysNightOut. MCS I don't think I like, and I don't like P!ATD.

DepthsOfDreams555 10-31-2005 04:00 PM

DepthsOfDreams555 10-31-2005 08:47 PM

I was supposed to go to the one in Indy but tickets sold out so I am going to the one in Grand Rapids with my buddy who got a ticket for me.

The line-up sounds OK, basically every one of those bands I think are pretty good.
what shows arnt now days?
I remember when I went to Finch, I saw hardly any scenesters there. It was brilliant, because most people hate Finch nowadays.

Taste Of Chaos is going to be hell though. The Used, FFAF, SOTY... all bad signs in terrms of the crowd.

tsl_ste 11-01-2005 09:15 AM

haha. yeah, i hate that whole hatin on Finch thing. i have a Finch badge thats on one of my many jackets, and i was walking through town yesterday and these "kids" started to sing letters to you in a mocking way.

i was all like... "hey... kid... pull your damn pants from around your ankles... and get them white bits from your pitch black hair... quit foolin me yo."

so yeah... i hate how this new genaration think they know everything.

Kif 11-01-2005 09:22 AM

I tend to ignore scenesters like that. It's their business, and in 10 years time they'll look back on pictures from their Myspace accounts and think "Di-did I really used to dress like that?"

DepthsOfDreams555 11-01-2005 03:32 PM

I can't wait for Taste of Chaos!!!!

Yeah.

I was angry that it was sold out!

Gnarmageddon 11-02-2005 06:10 AM

Me too. I had known about it for a while, and I kept procrastinating about getting tickets, then I was planning to go in the next day or two with a friend and she told me it was sold out.

DepthsOfDreams555 11-02-2005 06:12 AM

Thats how I was, I was just about to buy tickets to the one in Indy and it sold out like a day before I was gunna buy them. But luckily I have a friend in Grand Rapids that is going to come pick me up to go to the show!!
