Serial Numbers?
can someone tell me what year and everything else my bass was made the serial number is MN511823 and it is a Fender Jazz Bass MIM

If it was made in 1975 then it wouldn't have been made in Mexico. Fender didn't start producing basses out of the USA until about 1980 or 81, and they were made in Japan under the Squire name.

I tried using MN as an example. I mean if the serials mean the next digit is the year. If it said SOANDSOJPWINTERCOOLCOOLCOLIMSOGREAT5 what woudl iit sya if 1975? EDIT: Errr, that serial thing sounded liek I was trying to insult you. Nah, wasn't :thumb: |

I have a japan made fender jazz bass with a serial number of e679965 i think it was made between 84-87. How much can it be worth?
