I was supposed to see Brother ali last night but I didn't buy tickets in advance and the show sold out by the time I got to the door!

I read somewhere that he is of African american descent. Hahaha
|
albino's are so scary
|
he is ugly
good god you are right |
Who cares? He's a clever *** rapper.
|
albino's are so scary
Yeah. They remind me of that guy in the Da Vinci Code movie. One guy at my school was an albino. He was cool, but he looked scary sometimes. |
I think it was the original Cincinnati record, featuring Talib Kweli and DJ Hi-Tek's before they got big. I feel it is Hi-Tek's best beats, although the best beats seem to be from Jahson on this. Besides that, it is one of 3 hip-hop albums I have heard where the beats eclipse capable rapping. The other two being DJ Premier's masterpiece on Group Home's Livin' Proof and Pete Rock killing INI's Center of Attention.
"Aight", cool. |
Pharoahe Monch - Desire

So good, really enjoying it.
|
it's realllly goood.
|
My friend just sent me this leak of the new Twigy album (Japanese MC, never heard of him before) produced by Prefuse 73. Can't say I'm too fond of the rapping, but the beats are solid and Murs and Del are guests (?!?!?!?) in 2 of the tracks.
|
I love the glitchy bonus track off Desire. Pharoahe is way too tight, lyrically. Seems to really like the Matrix though, at least 3 tracks reference it.
|
Anyone like Atmosphere?
Amazing lyrics and beats. |

megaupload.com/?d=1X5N723B
For real? I thought that was a while away yet. |
I really like the Lucy Ford EPs and Godlovesugly, everything else is good to meh.
Yeah, I agree. I love Lucy Ford EPs and Godlovesugly. Like you said, there's other good stuff too but some of it is just alright. First time I heard the lines "Ever since I was a young lad with a part-time dad, it was hard to find happiness inside of what I had" from **** You Lucy it sent shivers down my spine. |
Camp Lo anyone? I would like their Uptown Saturday Night, very much! :)

I'm on vacation right now so I don't have my music with me. If you can wait until monday night I can get it uploaded. |
I sure can. But what quality do you have it in?
|
The new Pharoahe Monch is really good. How's the new Brother Ali? Worth a listen or two?

New Ali is really good, but it depends on whether you like his style or not. New Talib Kweli is awesome. |
New Talib solo? I'm gonna check that out I guess.
/Downloading now :) |

O, you don't have to upload this, got it somewhere else. But thanks. |
I wanna hear new Talib and Pharoah Monche soon. And I will.
|
The new Pharoahe is so good. It's in my top 3 albums released this year so far.
|
yeah new Pharoahe is either best or second best so far for me. i don't know what to expect of new Talib though, I think it could go either way.
|
the gay way?
|
I think the new Talib is meant to be pretty good. Moving back to his old school hip-hop a bit, whereas his last two albums have been a bit more mainstream.
