A new software for playing live with your friends over the Internet

My name is Stan. I play the acoustic guitar. Currently living in Moscow, Russia.

I and my friends created a software which allows you to to plug your guitar/keyboard/mike into your computer and play live with musicians in other cities as if you were in the same room.

The software is called Musigy Maker and it's absolutely free. You can sign up and download it from our website at http://www.musigy.com/signup

You are welcome to check it out and try playing over the net with your friends!

Let's make music without boundaries!!!

Dr Hooch 08-19-2007 03:30 PM

I trust it's not a midi based thing?

Hey Everyone!

If you want to jam online, check out this site:

http://www.infusician.com/jam/jamroom.php

If you're familiar with Ninjam, then you'll like this site. We integrated Ninjam into the infusician site so the jamming application launches directly in your web browser (you won't need to download a separate application or enter server port numbers). You can just start jamming online with other people around the world for free!

jesterface90 02-16-2008 03:12 PM

My name is David. I'm from Florissant, Missouri (close to St. Louis). I'm 17 years old, turning 18 this August. I've been playing guitar for about 6 years now. My music of choice is METAL! I play guitar & vocals for a thrash metal band called Fateful Hour, by the way we're looking for a drummer. I can also play some bass, keyboards, and drums.

tonalharmony 03-02-2008 09:09 AM

Hello All

Hey guys, I'm a bassoonist and play piano from Nashville,TN yeah.. I know kinda weird but you just need a change from classical sometimes.

I also wanted to let everyone know about this new online venue that launched recently called Blue Comet Cafe. Its cool you can upload videos of your performances to the site and get comments and feedback from other artists in the community. As a musician myself I am really excited that this site has provided another outlet for upcoming artists. I was even able to find people in my area with similar music tastes to jam with. I uploaded a video of my open mic night but you can also upload music videos as well as show performances. I would check it out if you’re looking for a place to meet other musicians and need an outlet for your music.

imuzz.com

Anyone tried this?
Seems like some ninjam clone, without having to set up a server.

looks cool, but nobody is there, yet...

Motleyguy 07-10-2008 01:28 AM

Wow... been posting in this section of the forum for a good 6 months now... at least, and I just realized this thread existed.

Seafroggys 07-10-2008 01:46 AM

For me, even longer.....pretty much for at least two years or so.

prettyinpinky89 07-22-2008 10:22 AM

Hey everyone, I'm Cyndy. I'm 18 years old hailing from Chicago. In high school, I sang and played piano/keyboards in high school, but I'm chilling right now. I like rock/pop/punk and R&B

Dr Hooch 08-01-2008 08:07 PM

why does this look like such a good deal all of a sudden? what are the equivalents?

http://www.dv247.com/invt/30065/

vista comatible, you think?

denboy 08-18-2008 05:27 AM

Isn't it funny how if you search google for "broken sm58" you get no results about broken sm58's?

I thought mine was broken, it outputted nothing but noise...
So I search for broken sm58, find nothing, try it again, and now it's working fine?! wtf

p3nnywi5dom 08-26-2008 03:22 AM

I guess I'll do a little intro as well.

I've been on this site forever, but haven't really posted much in the last couple years. I'm currently a freelance engineer at the Beach Studios in Calgary ( http://thebeachaudio.com/Home.html ) and am looking to start up something of my own in the near future.

If anyone has any technical questions, feel free to ask!

edit : Been playing guitar for 10 years, keys for 6, bass for 2, and just picked up my first drumkit today!

Kouari Nokido 08-29-2008 09:04 PM

Hello, everyone. My name is Kouari Nokido (no, of course not, really. But that's what you're gonna call me). I've been producing (if you can call it that,) music for about 3 years, and playing guitar/songwriting/singing for 5. I'm almost 16, live in Surrey, British Columbia (Canada) and consider music an important part of life. I try my best to be good with people, but mainly when music is involved. I'm still not the best with interaction, however.

I recently had the idea that I wanted to help someone. I wanted to find a singer/songwriter that would let me make/mix their original music for completely free and no credits pressure. I just want something to do + someway to practice. I think it would be cool to think of myself as "____'s producer." I'm not looking for fame; I never have been. If you know of or are anyone who fits into my situation, please feel free to contact me or point me in a direction that might help me out.

I hope to get along with everyone and improve with the help of critique and advice. As corny as it sounds, I'm hoping my Sputnick experience will help me mature as an artist.
Wow... been posting in this section of the forum for a good 6 months now... at least, and I just realized this thread existed.
Same here for like 6 years...

Cramboli 01-17-2009 05:07 PM

So I bought a Shure pg 57 today and got it home to find out that it didn't work so I went back to the store and was like yo this isn't working so they plug it in and find that in fact it is not working so they're like alright lets try this other one and it worked fine but as a bonus for the problems they threw in a mic stand with boom that cost like 35$ itself so YAY me I mean Yay free... Last one of both too... I got to keep the mic cable from the first one too... so now I'm up an extra stand and xlr cable...

PigDestroyer89 01-22-2009 10:52 PM

Is anyone here from Monterrey, Nuevo Leon? The reason that I am asking is because I am in desperate need of a drummer.

Rogue Six 02-10-2009 12:06 AM

what would be a good school to go to for audio production / sound engineering?

Seafroggys 02-10-2009 12:15 AM

Check to see if a local community college has good audio production facilities. I had one here that just opened up a multi-million dollar music facility, blew everyone else local out of the water.

Rogue Six 02-10-2009 12:21 AM

They don't. I'm in Bum Fu egypt. Chillicothe there is a recording school hat is quite good, but I want to make a degree out of it possibly.. and the school they partner with is pretty expensive.
