Yeah that's true, and I apologise, but all the rap music I've been seeing recently on TV is pretty similar to that.

I'd be very glad if anyone could prove me wrong.

then i accept said apology and declare a truce, i will try my best to prove you wrong . . . give me your e-mail, and i will compose an e-mail with a couple albums in it for you to check out, i'll have to upload them, so it might take a few days . . .

Rich Boy majored in mechanical engineering. So his criticism of adding D's has a design merit.

With that being said, I'm not convinced his forehead isn't annexing his face. It already has his eyes.
Has anyone heard the new Mark Ronson album? He covered a bunch of contemporary pop tracks with funk and Motown arrangements with guests like Lily Allen and whatnot. ODB is on the cover of Britney's Toxic.
Is the album good? I've just heard The Smiths and Radiohead covers and I have mixed oppinions. The former being horrible and the latter not being so horrible.

I've always prefered rap/hiphop such as Hilltop Hoods, Jurassic 5, Diverse, Eminem (Infinite only), Gym Class Heroes, Jedi Mind Tricks, MF Doom, Rakim, I don't mind Necro either.

I got Mecca & The Soul Brother by Pete Rock & CL Smooth recently, it's been in my CD player non-stop. Great jazz-fused beats and brilliant lyrics from CL. Well worth checking out.

ATM 04-10-2007 05:11 PM

Yea that album is an absolute gem.

Kyle 04-10-2007 05:43 PM
The Smiths cover is awesome wtf is wrong with you.
I've decided I quite like it now, but the original still shits on it.
The Radiohead one is better than the original.
Only if you're one of those idiots who really dislikes Radiohead.

My friend said Madlib has a new cd, true?

Hell yeah, Sage Francis is sweet.

So I saw Rock the Bells (the film) the other night, the doco about when Wu-Tang headlined it. Was pretty cool, showed some sick freestyling from Chali 2na and MC Supernatural and his son. MC Super is a god on the mic, seriously, he was incredible. They only showed a tiny bit of Wu-Tang on stage, but it was cool anyway. The interviews with them were way awesome, RZA and GZA are absolute champions.
Undisputed Truth > Shadows On The Sun
I really really want to hear this album. Rhymsayers makes me actually proud to be minnesotan (just cool to be able to know about places/things theyre refering to)

Anyone else heard it?

Jaded 04-16-2007 09:01 PM

I'm not huge on supernatural, don't really like his delivery or voice.

sgrevs 04-16-2007 09:31 PM
I'm not huge on supernatural, don't really like his delivery or voice.
But it was his rhymes, they were just jaw-droppingly good.

ATM 04-17-2007 10:00 AM

He's great at freestyles, too.

edit: to above, Undisputed Truth is a killer album

sgrevs 04-17-2007 11:35 AM

i may have to pick that up. in the film, he stood on the barrier in front of the crowd and got them to put stuff in his hands (e.g bottle, glasses, whatever people were holding) and he would just rap about them. It was really amazing.
