incubliss 11-03-2004 05:43 PM

some new albums i've been listening too, AND digging.

Kings of Leon - Aha Shake Heartbreak.

one reason being, it's completely different to the Youth and Young Manhood, and it's just great. it's not bad in anyway, and my favourite songs would be Razz, Kings of the Rodeo and Soft so far. this is with only a few listens mind, more listens to come.

The Bronx - The Bronx

what can i say? this is just so fun. simplistic (in a good way) but still i find it enthralling music. the whole album, is just short, fast and furious, it's brilliant.

The Bees - Free The Bees

my god, is this album heavenly or what? it reminds me of 60's bands, all rolled into one. Beach Boys, Beatles, you name it, it's in there. perfect summer chill album, nothing can go wrong with this album, or these guys.

The Futureheads - The Futureheads

ahh, i love this stuff. the vocals espcially. you can hear that 'Byker Grove' accent flowing in the vocals. this album is just so fun, ahhh.

The (International) Noise Conspiracy - Armed Love

my favourite album so far os October, and for a long time. it mixes everything, and brings it all together so amazingly. i just can't get over how fun, and easy to get into this music is, it really is a gift. songs like Black Mask, and Lets Make History, just brimming with greatness. can't get enough of this stuff.

Incubus - The Odyssey

my jesus, have you heard these songs? they're from the Halo 2 soundtrack, and they kick some ***. it's the 4 part rock opera, first part called Follow, the riff is very vai esque i find. i've only heard snippets of 3 of the 4 songs, but i'm eagerly awaiting this game to come out now, just for the soundtrack, which i'll be buying.

Kyuss - Welcome to Sky Valley

just pure noise, i love it. it's a total contrast to the other stuff i've been digging lately, but i just love Space Cadet. that's the one song i'd love to learn on guitar if i could play that is.

i can't think what else i've been listening to lately, but this is the brunt of it really. i'm just rambling on now, but that's the basis of my music taste this past few weeks.

Happymeal 11-03-2004 05:46 PM

New Incubus:eek: Must check that out.

incubliss 11-03-2004 05:51 PM

oh you're in luck my friend.

on the right, click the 'Launch Listening Station' icon, and when the popup loads, there's 3 snippets of Incubus songs to listen to, just click one of them and observe.

:)
You haved potential.
i haved potential, aye? ah, my life is complete.
i seem to be the only one in chicago who knows who the toadies are (excuse me, were). maybe it's because i'm from dallas. just maybe.
today's choices of ear box pleasure:
the cramps - stay sick
morrisey - your arsenal
the clash - mmm, bootleg!
T.S.O.L. - weathered statue
portishead - portishead (and it gets better! the tasty hearing of vinyl...)
and who can live without the ramones...

Tangy zizzle 11-03-2004 11:24 PM

^ dick.

Old crow medicine show - wagon wheel. A great song.

YDload 11-04-2004 12:33 AM

Oh man, I have downloaded many an At the Drive-In song in my day (because their albums do not exist in physical form anywhere I go to), but I'm not sure any of them can beat "Cosmonaut" for pure ferocity. Reading the lyrics makes me afraid to be on an airplane now.

"Is it heavier than air? Tell us is the black box lying?" *guitar ditty*

I want to jump around now! Ah, but it's far too late in the night for that.

Tapeworm 11-04-2004 05:16 AM

I got Kylie Minogue's Body Language today, and it is a near perfect pop record. Soo good, and it made me wanna dance when i was walking around town.
