What I've Been Digging Lately

Ok so heres a semi-new idea for a thread. Basically, you just post what ever song, album or artist you have really been liking at the moment. If it's a new band you could put a little bit about them, good songs etc...

So if this works well enough, we could maybe get it sticky'd ( Nacho? ).

Well, a cool new(ish) band I've been listening to alot lately is These Arms Are Snakes . They are a post-hardcore,art punky band who have one EP out called This is Mean to Hurt You.

Good songs to check out would be:

The Blue Rose
Drinking From the Necks of Loved Ones
Run it Through the Dog
Riding the Grape Dragon

---------------------------------------

I have been listening to Neil Young's Rust Never Sleeps alot lately and have come to the conclusion that it is my favourite Neil Young album. Definately check it out!

---------------------------------------

Television - Friction is one incredible song. Ahead of it's time.

If you guys think this is a shitty idea for a thread just say so. If not, update with new stuff whenever you feel the need.

I'm digging Mike Patton, My Bloody Valentine and the Melvins.

haha, Mr. Bungle are the funniest band

Good Songs to check out

Mike Patton:

Desert Search For Techno Allach (by Mr. Bungle)
Egg (by Mr. Bungle)
Rosemary's Baby (by Fantomas)

Ask Tangy for some Tomahawk stuff, I haven't yet gotten into them.

My Bloody Valentine:

To Here Knows When
When You Sleep
I Only Said

Melvins:

Night Goat
Honey Bucket
Revolve

(maybe Nacho can recommend some more, he's a bit of an expert)

Fishbone
Sometimes I'd say they got a ska-reggae feel, sometimes I wouldn't know what to call them. Nonetheless they are real good IMO.
Some good songs could be:
Beergut
Alchoholic
Another Generation
Ma & Pa
Check them out.
I'll update this weekly.

Turn it on
She Don't use Jelly
Plastic Jesus
Pilot can at the Queer of God
Fight Test
Do you Relise?

Mostly from Transmissions from the Satellite Heart

Lately I've been listening to a lot of Beastie Boys, Jurassic 5, Sigur Ros and At The Drive-In.

The Beastie Boys are probably my favourite rap/hip hop group of all time.
